Magnetic separation, dry or wet, was ineffective for removal of ferromagnetic particles from printed circuit board PCB dust. By using octyl phenol ethoxylate OPE up to 60 ppm in 10 gl pulp of 150212 m PCB dust, 92 iron and 85 nickel recoveries were obtained under wet lowintensity 1370 Gauss magnetic separation.
