Synthesis and characterization of the NiFe 2 O 4 Ni 3 Fe nanocomposite powder and compacts obtained by mechanical milling and spark plasma sintering. NiFe 2 O 4 Ni 3 Fe nanocomposite powder was synthesized by ball milling of nanocrystalline NiFe 2 O 4 and nanocrystalline Ni 3 Fe in a high planetary ball mill.

    NiFe2O4 nanocrystals were dispersed in silica by a solgel route.
